About the Suryoyo Café
The Suryoyo Café is a protected online meeting place by and for Suryoye (Arameans, Assyrians, Chaldeans). A place where our community in the diaspora comes together, connects and keeps its roots alive.
The idea
Many Suryoye today live scattered across Germany, Sweden and all over the world. The Suryoyo Café brings them together in one digital place – like a cosy café where you sit down at different tables, start conversations and get to know new people from your own community. Whether for casual exchange, genuine friendships or simply the feeling of being among your own.
Who is the café for?
The café is intentionally a space for Suryoye – for Arameans, Assyrians, Chaldeans and Aramaic Christians. This clear focus keeps the community safe, genuine and close-knit. Every new account is reviewed personally and then unlocked, so everyone can feel familiar and at home.
Our values
Belonging & roots. We keep the Aramaic language (Surayt/Turoyo), culture and traditions alive and stay connected to the homeland Tur Abdin.
A protected space. Respectful interaction, a safe environment and a personal approval of new members come first.
Real connection. Instead of an anonymous crowd, it is about honest conversations and genuine friendships among Suryoye.
How it works
After a short registration and approval you can sit down at the café tables and join in. There are themed rounds, a general-knowledge quiz and the option to connect with others privately. Using the café is free.
